Greetings! I’m Joseph Ude, a passionate counseling intern currently pursuing my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. As an aspiring counselor, I am excited to embark on the journey of supporting individuals through their personal and emotional growth. During my academic journey, I’ve gained valuable insights from my residency, practicum, and internship experience, providing me with a solid foundation in understanding human behavior and therapeutic techniques, as well as honing my skills in active listening, empathy, and client-centered approaches.
I am dedicated to creating a warm and empathetic space for clients to explore their feelings and challenges. My approach is influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and systems approaches. I am committed to ongoing professional development to enhance my skills and knowledge to better assist my clients. I have worked with youth, and adults. My focus has been working with young adults and families in crisis and with those who have found themselves coping with adversity. I have experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, loss and grief, family separation and anxiety.
While interning, I am under the supervision of Renachantel McClain, a seasoned Clinical Psychotherapist with expertise in many approaches. Their mentorship ensures that I provide ethical and effective counseling services to individuals seeking support.
I am enthusiastic about contributing to the positive and transformative experiences of clients during my internship. If you are looking for a supportive space to navigate life’s challenges, I would be honored to be part of your journey. Feel free to reach out, and together, we can work towards your personal goals.
