How long will therapy take?
It really depends on a number of factors including availability of client, severity of problem and willingness to change. This can be further discussed at your initial visit as I’ll have a better understanding of what brings you in for services.
I’m a little nervous. What can I do to prepare for my first visit?
Just come as you are with an open mind and a willingness to heal.
Do you offer pre-marital counseling?
Yes, I offer pre-marital counseling, marital counseling as well as divorce care.
I have been with my partner for over 4 years. Can we still come to counseling even if we are not planning on getting married?
Absolutely! Whether married, dating, cohabitating, same sex, or blended families, I can help sort out the issues you may be facing.
I’m not mentally ill. I just get down sometimes. Should I still see a therapist?
Seeing a therapist is a personal choice. Therapy helps to improve mental health. Like seeing a medical doctor, sometimes you go when you are ill, other times you go for preventative services. You may just need a mental health “tune-up”.
What services do you offer for couples?
I currently offer pre-marital and marital therapy. I also offer services for those who are looking to have an applicable separation and need assistance in working out the details in the area of children and other family concerns.
